2022 Viognier

Burnt sugar meets cotton candy aromas which develop into citrus pith merengue, and lots of orange peel. A bit of mineral and lemon melon rind, cucumber and jasmine flower. On the palate bracing acidity meets light bodied tannins, more citrus aromas appear here. They resemble summer lemonade sieved through fresh rock. Lively and fresh, the wine dances with acidity combining with structure from sur lees aging and oak. Slightly ripe pineapple aromas open later as the bottle breathes combining butterscotch and creme brûlée. Ripe peach also lurks with nectarine and green coconut. Very lavish in finish with plenty of body.
