2018 Jacob's Ladder

The wine formally known as “Estate Cuvee” has a new title, one more fitting and less ambiguous. Although it’s still an estate cuvee in the truest term, an estate blend, it takes on deeper meaning with the addition of an art piece of the winery and vineyard, started by Jacob himself and finished by our father after his passing. This classic yet never wavering blend of predominately Syrah with equal additions of Malbec and Petite Verdot, and a touch of Grenache, exudes familiar flavors of the past. It is dark and beautiful, yet graceful and balanced at around 14% Alcohol. Aged in 20% new oak, it represents the most expressive of our estate fruit and with artwork of the winery and vineyard we hope it conjures up memories and images of our place even when you’re at your place.

 

Entirely Dubost Estate fruit, Adelaida AVA, Jacob's Ladder is a blend of 40% Syrah, 25% Petit Verdot, 25% Malbec and 10% Grenache.
