2019 Alexandrine
The Glenrose Vineyard represents some of the oldest plantings of Grenache Blanc on the west side of Paso Robles. One of the only terraced vineyards in the area, sitting at an elevation of 1500’-1700’, owner Don Rose bulldozed the hillside into terraces to expose the limestone and stress the vines which are planted on extremely chalky, high pH soils. Coupled with the typically very fruit driven Viognier from the Dubost estate it makes a wonderful addition to our family homage blend, honoring Alexandrine Dubost of Adelaida. As its heritage and home, it is always fruit from the Adelaida district. Gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel followed by aging in a combination of 50% neutral oak, 25% new French oak and 25% stainless steel, the wine underwent partial malolactic and was filtered in the most gentle way using crossflow filtration.
