Changes & Challenges - This has been a summer of changes and challenges.

 

The biggest change is the hardest to write about. When Zachary put on his brother’s boots and turned on the press for the 2010 harvest, we had no idea where the road would lead us. Thirteen years later it has been a wild ride. Zachary became a world class, award winning winemaker. His family, wife Vanessa, children, Cameron (18), Kali (16) and Annie (5) have grown up at the winery, all of the family working, playing and getting to know and love many of you along the way. 

 

This July, Zachary took advantage of the opportunity to become the winemaker for the Kuhlman Winery in Stonewall, Texas. Zachary will continue to be Dubost’s consulting winemaker while he works his magic in Texas in a 12,000 case facility. A big jump from Dubost’s 1500 cases.

 

Dubost will continue to release new award winning wines to its Country Club and the public. Curt and I will continue working as we always have cooking, pouring, visiting with the customers we have come to know and love as well. We look forward to Curt’s retirement at the end of 2024 and more gardening, parties and yes, wine.
