The charming first aromas are effusive, dominated by focused black currant tones with subtle oak char and hints of cedar, sage and marjoram. A wisp of bramble leads into flavors of plum and blackberry with a full-bodied supple mouthfeel. The finish is layered and complex with brooding depth of black fruit character that persists with great length. Tempranillo and Grenache take the lead with Syrah and Petite Syrah playing star supporting roles. Majority of aging in neutral oak.
